Description
Located within the Yuraygir National Park, Lake Arragan Campground is an idyllic coastal setting adjacent to the entrance of Lake Arragan and the ocean surf beach. The camping ground has open grassy sites with some shade available. Water based activities are very popular including boating, fishing, canoeing, swimming, surfing and fishing. The Yaraygir Coastal Walking Track linking Angourie to Red Rock passes through the campsite with beach, rock platform and track walking opportunities along its length. Vehicular access to the campground is via an unsealed road from Brooms Head Road. Facilities include picnic tables, wood barbecues, non-flush toilets and drinking water. Yuraygir National Park is the longest stretch of undeveloped coastline in NSW featuring 60 kilometres of striking cliffs, rocky headlands, isolated beaches and quiet lake systems, set against a backdrop of forests, heaths, estuaries and wetlands.
