Description
Forest Tops Campground is situated within the Border Ranges National Park close to the NSW/QLD border. The Park itself is within the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia's World Heritage Area on the rim of a vast, ancient volcano. Nearby Pinnacle Lookout offers views of Mt Warning, the escarpment and all the way to the east coast. The Booyong walking track starts from here. The campground is located just off the Tweed Range Scenic Drive, 10km from the western edge of the park and has 10 sites suitable for tent camping only with car parking a short walk from the campground. Access is via unsealed roads suitable for 2WD vehicles. Facilities include picnic tables, wood barbecues (bring your own firewood) and non-flush toilets. Water is unsuitable for drinking.
