Description
Boundary Creek Falls camping area is situated on the site of a former sawmill within a dry open eucalypt forest in the Gibraltor Range National Park. The camp area is level and caters for 15 campsites suitable for tent and vehicular based camping. 2WD vehicular access is via an unsealed road 1.2 kilometres north of the Gwydir Highway. Facilities include modern fire and cooking stands, pit toilets and picnic tables. Bring your own drinking water and firewood. No pets are allowed in the park. Gibraltor Range National Park features deep valleys, giant granite boulders, World Heritage importance rainforest, scenic creeks and cascades, swamps, heaths and woodlands which can all be explored on more than 100 kilometres of walking trails. Bush walks close to Boundary Creek include one to the bottom of Boundary Creek Falls and another to Lyrebird Falls. An additional park use fee of $7.00 applies per vehicle per day.
